Expediting
Expediting is a fundamental element of any project. It enables project objectives to be achieved.
Purpose is to monitor the progress of the supplies of materials assigned with respect the contractual dates and operating methods, involving the entire post-order team, the technical functions, procurement and suppliers. Also provide the rest of the structure with timely information about progress of supply, highlighting any discrepancies and critical issues found, necessary for the correct fabrication plan that includes:
- Engineering documentation
- Suborders issuing
- Main Material arrival
- Construction activities
- Final and packing inspection for the benefit of shipping activities.
This is important because it saves the client from incurring unnecessary costs.
Expediting activities begin soon after the Purchase Order is issued.
